Effect of amino acid additives on the growth and physical properties of potassium acid phthalate (KAP) crystals

► The effect of l-alanine, l-tyrosine, glycine on the crystallization and properties of KAP have been studied. ► Glycine doping has significant influence on the dielectric behavior of KAP crystal. ► SHG efficiency of LA-KAP was found to be comparable to that of KDP crystal.
