Infrared spectroscopic study of thermotropic phase behavior of newly developed synthetic biopolymers

- A cost-effective and sensitive temperature-controlled sample holder is developed.
- Order-disorder transition of novel biopolymers is studied by infrared spectroscopy.
- Monounsaturated bonds itself is an indicator of order-disorder phenomenon.
- Results are compared with Raman and DSC techniques and are found in good agreement.
