Flow injection-chemiluminescence determination of dopamine using potassium permanganate and formaldehyde system

► The CL method has been propose for the determination of dopamine. ► Dopamine strongly enhances CL emission of KMnO4-HCHO system in acidic medium. ► The CL intensity of the KMnO4-HCHO reaction is proportional to DA concentration. ► A simple, rapid and sensitive flow-injection CL method has been developed. ► The method was successfully applied to the determination of DA in injection sample.
