EPR and optical studies of vanadium doped potassium dihydrogen citrate (C6H7KO7) single crystal

► In this study, the results of EPR and optic absorption investigation of vanadium doped PDHC single crystals are given. ► EPR results show that the VO2+ ions enter the lattice in substitutional position in the host lattice. ► The observed spectra of VO2+ shows the presence of two different VO2+ complexes located in different chemical environments, and each environment contains one magnetically distinct site.
