Cycle life and hydrogen storage properties of mechanical alloyed Ca1−xZrxNi5−yCry; (x = 0, 0.05 and y = 0, 0.1)

► The CaNi5 system has been investigated when mechanically alloyed with Zr and Cr. ► All alloys were found to lose 25% of their hydrogen capacity over 200 cycles. ► The shapes of sorption isotherms were altered due to metal substitution.
