Comparative study on two novel nine-coordinated supramolecular compounds of cerium(III) and yttrium(III): Solid and solution states studies

► The proton transfer methodology is used to prepare metal heterocyclic carboxylate. ► Their structures are studied both in solution and in the solid state. ► We have used rare-earth metals (e.g., Ce3+ and Y3+) to create coordination compounds.
