Synthesis, crystal structure and surface photo-electric property of a series of Co(II) coordination polymers and supramolecules

► Four Co(II) complexes all possess photo-electric conversion property in 300-600 nm. ► The surface electric behavior and photo-electric property were studied with SPS. ► The species of coordination atoms and coordination number affect the result of SPS. ► The dropped symmetry can lead to the split, widening and red-shift of the bands of SPS. ► It is favorable for the increase of the photo-electric conversion efficiency.
