Structural, spectroscopic and semiempirical characterisation of the calcium cation complexes with 14-membered macrocyclic ligand of cyclic oxaalkyl diamide of o-phthalic acid

► A new amide-ether ligand is synthesised and used for calcium complexation. ► Complexes with Ca2+ and Ca(ClO4)+ cations are evidenced. ► The complexes structures are confirmed by X-ray, spectroscopic and semiempirical methods.
