Spectroscopic, electrochemical and X-ray diffraction studies on nickel(II)-complexes of acetophenone thiosemicarbazones substituted six-carbon groups

Structural analysis of four coordinated (ONSP) nickel(II) complexes obtained from 3-Bromo-5-chloro-2-hydroxyacetophenone-N4-hexyl (L1H2), cyclohexyl (L2H2) and phenyl (L3H2)-thiosemicarbazones were by spectroscopic and single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. Basic electrochemical parameters of the ligand and complexes were measured. Electrogenerated species of the complexes, [Ni(L1)(PPh3)] (1), [Ni(L2H)(PPh3)]·Cl (2) and [Ni(L3)(PPh3)]·C2H5OH (3), were determined using in situ spectroelectrochemical methode.
