A 3D supramolecular network of cobalt(II)(bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene) with terephthalate dianions

{[Co(bpee)(H2O)4] · (tp) · 2(H2O)}n (1) [bpee = trans-1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene; tp = terephthalate dianion] having 3D supramolecular network, has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single crystal structure, magnetic measurement and thermal analysis.
