The synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of a mononuclear cobalt compound with dipyrimidine sulfane ligand derived from 2-thio-barbituric acid

A new mononuclear cobalt(II) compound (1) with dipyrimidine-sulfane ligand has been synthesized. The starting TBA desulfur coupling into dipyrimidine-sulfane is supposed to the key process of forming 1. 1 exhibits intermolecular antiferromagnetic coupling.
