Design and construction of six coordination polymers with imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylate ligand

In this study, six new coordination polymers have been synthesized and characterized structurally by elemental analysis, IR spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and thermal analyses (TG, DTA, DSC) techniques. Topological analyses show that complex 5 consists of rare three dimensional (3D) (4,4,5)-connected net with 4,4,5T14 topology. Complexes 1 and 3-6 exhibit intense blue fluorescent emission bands in the solid state at room temperature.
