Synthesis, characterisation and biological activity of Co(III) complex with the condensation product of 2-(diphenylphosphino)benzaldehyde and ethyl carbazate

► Co(III) complex with PNO donors atom ligand is obtained. ► The complex showed moderate antibacterial and strong cytotoxic activity. ► High cytotoxicity is not the consequence of interactions with DNA.
