In situ 5-sulfosalicylate decarboxylation or dimethylformamide hydrolysis generating supramolecular assembly architectures

We synthesized a series of M2+/4,4′-bipy/5-sulfosalicylate complexes associating with the decarboxylation of the 5-sulfosalicylate or the hydrolysis of the DMF, both effects provide some supramolecular building blocks to assembly interesting supramolecular networks involving the weak interactions, such as π⋯π, hydrogen-bonding, and C-H⋯π interactions. The thermal stability is largely related to the decarboxylation and hydrolysis.
