DNA-binding and photocleavage studies of [Ru(phen)2(NMIP)]2+

A novel ruthenium(II) complex [Ru(phen)2NMPIP]2+ has been synthesized and characterized. Its DNA-binding and photocleavage properties have also been investigated by spectroscopic methods, viscosity and electrophoresis measurements.
