Thiol end-capped titanium-copper complexes: Synthesis, solid state structure and electrochemical behavior

The synthesis, reaction chemistry and electrochemical properties of organometallic π-tweezers of type {[Ti](μ-σ,π-CR)2}CuSC6H4-4-R′ ([Ti] = (η5-C5H4SiMe3)2Ti; R = SiMe3, tBu; R′ = CCH, SC(O)Me, C6H4-SH) and ({[Ti](μ-σ,π-CCSiMe3)2}CuSC6H4)2 are described. The solid state structure of {[Ti](μ-σ,π-CCSiMe3)2}CuSC6H4-4-SC(O)Me is reported.
