Addition of protic nucleophiles to alkynyl methoxy carbene ligands in diiron complexes

Protic nucleophiles can be regioselectively added to the CC triple bond of the alkynyl(methoxy)carbene ligand, coordinated to diiron aminocarbyne complexes, affording new alkenyl(alkoxy)carbene derivatives containing a variety of different functionalities on the alkenyl moiety.
