Bidimensional self-assembling of [HgII(RPhNNNPhR′)2] (R = acetyl, R′ = F) through metal-η4-arene π-interactions and non classical C-H⋯O bonding: Synthesis and X-ray characterization of a bis diaryl asymmetric-substituted triazenide complex pol

Deprotonated 3-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-(4-acetylphenyl)triazene reacts with Hg(CH3COO)2 to give light yellow crystals of [HgII(RPhNNNPhR′)2]n (R = acetyl, R′ = F). The lattice of [HgII(RPhNNNPhR′)2]n can be viewed as a bidimensional assembling of planar tectons [HgII(RPhNNNPhR′)2], occurring through metalocene alike Hg(II)-η2,η2-arene π-interactions and non classical C-H⋯O bonding.
