Complexes of oxomethoxovanadium(V) with tridentate thiobenzhydrazide based Schiff bases

Syntheses, physical properties and X-ray structures of oxomethoxovanadium(V) complexes with O,N,S-donor thiobenzoic acid (5-R-2-hydroxy-benzylidene)-hydrazides (H2tbhsR, R = H, OMe, Cl, Br and NO2) are described. Intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions and the resulting self-assembly patterns in the crystals are reported.
