Heteropolymetallic complexes containing 1,1′-diphenylphosphino-ferrocene

The bimetallic complex [(dppf)Pt(H-nbu2-DTO)]Cl (2) reacts with [Ru(p-cymene)Cl2]2 to give the heterotrimetallic compound [(dppf)Pt(μ-nbu2-DTO κ-S,S Pt κ-N,N Ru)Ru(p-cymene)Cl]Cl (4). If allowed to stand in a chloroform solution 2 gives rise to the cyclic compound [(dppf)Pt(H-nbu2-DTO)]6Cl6 (3).
