Nickel(II) complexes with the macrocyclic schiff base ligand: Synthesis, spectroscopic studies, electrochemical behaviours and 1D supramolecular structure
چکیده انگلیسی

By template reaction of Ni(ClO4)2·6H2O/NiX2 (X = Cl−, Br−, I−), 2-[3-(2-formylphenoxy)-2-hydroxypropoxy] benzaldehyde and 1,3-diamino-2-propanol, octahedral [NiLX]ClO4 complexes (L = 8,9,18,19-tetrahydro-7H,17H-dibenzo[f,o][1,5,9,13]dioxadiaza cyclohexadecine-8,18-diol) have been obtained and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV–Vis spectroscopy and conductance measurements. Furthermore, crystal structure of [NiLCl]ClO4 complex has been determined by X-ray diffraction that shows 1D supramolecular chain through intermolecular O–H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interaction between [NiLCl]+ cations. A quasi-reversible redox wave in the negative potential range is observed in the cyclic voltammograms of nickel(II) complexes.

Synthesis, spectroscopic studies and electrochemical behaviors of octahedral [NiLX]ClO4 complexes, L is a potentially hexadentate macrocyclic ligand with N2O4 donor set that act as pentadentate one and X = Cl−, Br− and I−, with the crystal structure of [NiLCl]ClO4 complex have been investigated. This crystal structure illustrates 1D supramolecular chain.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slideHighlights
