Preparation and characterization of N,N-diacetatodithiocarbamato metal complexes with large negative charges

► Metal complexes with N,N-diacetatodithiocarbamate have been prepared and characterized. ► The crystal structure of Ba3[Co(Ac2dtc)3]·16H2O showed a complicated bonding network. ► The high possibility of carboxyl groups in Ac2dtc3− metal complexes can capture Ba2+.
