Construction of a series of inorganic–organic hybrid coordination polymers based on hexamethylenetetramine and sulfonate ligands
چکیده انگلیسی

In this article, six silver sulfonate coordination polymers, namely [Ag(L1)(hmt)] (1), [Ag(L2)(hmt)(H2O)] (2), [Ag(L3)(hmt)] (H2O) (3), [Ag2(L4)(hmt)2] 2(CH3OH) (4), [Ag6(L5)6(hmt)6] 18(H2O) (5) and [Ag6(L6)6(hmt)6] 16(H2O) (6) (where hmt = hexamethylenetetramine, L1 = 2-amino-5-chlorobenzenesulfonate anion, L2 = 2-amino-4-methyl-benzenesulfonate anion, L3 = 4-hydroxy-benzenesulfonate anion, L4 = 1,5-naphthalenedisulfonate anion, L5 = l-(−)-camphorsulfonate anion and L6 = d-(+)-camphorsulfonate anion), have been synthesized. In 1, Ag(I) centers are linked by hmt ligands to generate a 1D polymeric chain. The chains are further bridged by the L1 anions to form a 2D layer. In 2, Ag(I) centers are connected by hmt ligands to generate a 1D chain structure. In 3, Ag(I) centers are bridged by hmt ligands to form a 2D layer. In 4, hmt ligand connects Ag(I) center to form hexagonal honeycomb 63-hcb layers, which are further bridged by L4 anions to generate a 3D pillared layered structure with (63)(65 8) topology. Compounds 5 and 6 are opposite enantiomers structures based on the known enantiomers of the sulfonate anions, and the adjacent Ag(I) centers are bridged by the hmt ligands to generate an infinite wavy 2D infinite layer of hexagonal units.

A series of Ag(I) coordination polymers based on hexamethylenetetramine and sulfonate anions have been synthesized and characterized, where their luminescent properties were also studied in detail.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slideHighlights
► The 2D undulated networks of 5 and 6 possess chirality.
► The number of –SO3– groups plays important roles in tuning the ultimate structures.
► The substituent groups of the anions are important for the ultimate structures.
