High response visible-blind organic ultraviolet photodetector based on excellent photovoltaic characteristics of a Cu(I) complex

A phosphorescent Cu(I) complex [Cu(Bphen)(DPEphos)]BF4 (CuDB) was synthesized. The highly efficient visible-blind OUV-PDs with a peak photoresponse of 316 mA/W using m-MTDATA as the electron donor (D) and CuDB as the electron acceptor (A) was achieved. When a thin TPBi layer inserted between CuDB and the metal cathode, the performance of photovoltaic (PV) device based on CuDB was enhanced.98
