Spectroscopic and electrochemical studies of novel model compounds for cytochrome c oxidase

Novel metalated porphyrins were synthesized efficiently. These complexes were studied using a rotating disc electrode in the presence of molecular oxygen and found that mimic successfully cytochrome c oxidase.
