Solvatothermal chemistry of organically-templated vanadium fluorides and oxyfluorides

A series of vanadium fluoride and oxyfluoride materials has been prepared by solvatothermal synthesis in ethanol or ethylene glycol. The structure of tetranuclear anion {V4F14O4(H2O)}6− is shown.
