Dehydroisomerization of 1-pentene on the diruthenium disulfido complex

Reactions of 1-hexene or 4-methyl-1-pentene with a disulfido bridged dinuclear ruthenium complex give a bridging C3S2 ring moiety and novel alkenyl disulfido ligands, whereas the reaction of 1-pentene with the complex gives complexes with bridging C3S2 and C4S2 ring moieties via dehydroisomerization.
