A convenient preparation of pentaaquanitrosylchromium(2+) sulfate: The crystal structure revisited

Hydrolysis of the nitrosyl complex [Cr(NCCH3)5(NO)]2+ in dilute sulfuric acid leads to a quantitative formation of the complex [Cr(OH2)5(NO)]2+ and a sulfate salt can be isolated in a high yield.
