Coordination properties of 3′,5′-cyclic adenosine monophosphate towards copper(II) ions

The binding ability of 3′,5′-cyclic adenosine monophosphate, which is a second messenger molecule, towards Cu(II) ion was studied. One complex with stoichiometry Cu(3′,5′-cAMP)+ in which Cu(II) ion is bound by N-7 nitrogen was found.
