Interaction of hypochlorous acid and myeloperoxidase with phosphatidylserine in the presence of ammonium ions

The myeloperoxidase product hypochlorous acid converts phosphatidylserine into aldehyde and nitrile products. Ammonium ions compete with phosphatidylserine for HOCl.
