Luminescent rhenium(I) complexes of substituted imidazole[4,5-f]-1,10-phenanthroline derivatives

A series of fluorescent imidazo[4,5-f]-1,10-phenanthroline-based ligands have been synthesised and coordinated to rhenium to form a new series of fac-[ReBr(CO)3(NˆN)] complexes.
