Oxidative addition reaction of allyl or propargyl bromide with a diarylplatinum(II) complex

We report a mechanistic study of the oxidative addition of allyl bromide and propargyl bromide with (diimine)diarylplatinum(II) complex [Pt(p-MeC6H4)2(bipy)]. DFT calculations are performed in order to find approximate structures for the described complexes.
