Synthesis, characterization and biological activity of diorgano and triorganotin (IV) complexes of Chlordiazepoxide, Choline theophyllinate and Phenobarbitone sodium

Organotin (IV) complexes of Chlordiazepoxide (L1H), Choline theophyllinate (L2H) and Phenobarbitone sodium (L3H) were synthesized in 1:2 metal ligand molar ratios. Spectroscopic studies of all complexes suggest a tetrahedral geometry in diorganotin complexes of L1H, L2H and L3H. In triorganotin complexes of L1H and L2H, trigonal bipyramidal geometry is observed.
