Conformationally locked thiosugars as potent α-mannosidase inhibitors: Synthesis, biochemical and docking studies

We report here, the synthesis of a series of novel thiosugar derivatives derived from d-mannose and studies of their inhibition against α-mannosidase (jack bean). The sulfone derivative 10 proved to be the best inhibitor with a Ki value of 350 nM.
