Homogeneous flow of metallic glasses: A free volume perspective

The free volume approach to the temperature-dependence of the liquid viscosity, structural relaxation, and deformation-induced softening of the glass is reviewed and assessed based on the results of recent creep data on a bulk metallic glass.
