Carbon-nanotube-supported Ag and Cu2O nanoparticles: Dendrimer-mediated synthesis and their broadband optical limiting properties

► Dendrimers (G4.0) with a trimesyl core are covalently functionalized on MWCNTs. ► Ag or/and Cu2O nanoparticles are grown on MWCNTs via the grafted dendrimers. ► The nanotubes are uniformly covered with the nanoparticles. ► The resultant nano-hybrids show enhanced broadband optical limiting performance.
