Numerical simulation of the non-linear deformation of 5-harness satin weaves

► An RVE of a satin weave with periodic boundary conditions has been created. ► Matrix is modelled with an elasto-plastic with isotropic damage constitutive model. ► Yarns follow a transversely isotropic damage law. ► Different loading conditions are applied and the non-linear response is obtained. ► Damage initiation and propagation is studied for the different loading conditions.
