Numerical and experiment analysis of residual stress on magnesium alloy and steel butt joint by hybrid laser-TIG welding

We analyze the thermo mechanical behavior of magnesium alloy and steel butt joint. A new coupled heat source model was developed. The microstructure on the bonding interface and butt weld were reported. Hybrid welding would be helpful for decreasing the welding stress and deformation.
