Texture imaging of zirconium based components by total neutron cross-section experiments

► Dependence of neutron total cross section on texture for Zr specimens is presented. ► Spatial variation of texture is quickly imaged by neutron radiographies. ► Texture changes across Zircaloy-4 welds and Zr2.5%Nb pressure tubes are visualized. ► Quantitative texture analysis based on neutron transmission experiments is discussed.
