Evaluation of suitable porosity for sintered porous β-tricalcium phosphate as a bone substitute

► Structural and mechanical characterization was performed for sintered porous β-TCP specimens. ► For structural characterization, SEM and Microfocus X-ray CT system were used. ► For mechanical characterization, compression tests were performed. ► Porous β-TCP with 42.1% porosity may be a suitable bone substitute.
