Development of nanocomposites based on hydroxyapatite/sodium alginate: Synthesis and characterisation

► We have prepared nanohydroxyapatite/sodium alginate as a composite. ► Effect of sodium alginate on the properties of nanohydrroxyapatite has been studied. ► The sodium alginate ranges from 0 to 3.75 wt.% has been used. ► Composites show improved biological and mechanical properties.
