Effect of annealing on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cold rolled Fe-24Mn-3Al-2Si-1Ni-0.06C TWIP steel

► Recrystallisation is nearly complete after 300 s isochronal annealing at 850 °C. ► Four work hardening regions evolve upon tensile testing after partial recrystallisation. ► A modified empirical Hollomon-Ludwigson scheme is suggested to fit the flow curve.
