Controlled fabrication of TiC nanocrystal clusters on surface of Ti particles for application in electromagnetic wave absorption

Plenty of TiC nanocrystals grew on surface of metal Ti particles were prepared by a thermo-chemical reaction in acetone. The TiC nanocrystals/Ti-paraffin hybrids showed strong EM wave absorption capability in X-band, due to the good impedance match degree and destructive interference. The present study will offer an attractive candidate for EM wave absorption applications.
