Structural mechanisms of anelasticity in Fe-Ga-based alloys

- Anelastic response of Fe-3Ga-5Al, Fe-13Ga and Fe-17Ga alloys is studied.
- Main contribution to damping of Fe-Ga alloys comes from magnetomechanical damping.
- Decrease in damping after annealing is a result of structure ordering.
- The Snoek, Zener and grain boundary relaxations are detected and discussed.
