Fabrication of nanowires of Al-doped ZnO using nanoparticle assisted pulsed laser deposition (NAPLD) for device applications

- Novel technique of NP assisted PLD was employed to obtain Al doped ZnO.
- AZO nano wires with aspect ratios exceeding 20 were obtained at 500 sccm Ar gas pressure.
- AZO films belong to the most stable wurtzite type.
- Films show near band edge emission and defect related emission.
