Synthesis and relative optical properties of Eu3+/Tb3+-activated Li3InB2O6

► The optical properties of Li3InB2O6: Eu3+/Tb3+ phosphors have been reported for the first time. ► Li3InB2O6: Eu3+/Tb3+ phosphors can be efficiently excited by 394 nm and 377 nm UV light, respectively. ► Li3InB2O6: Eu3+/Tb3+ phosphors have potential applications as the UV-convertible red and green phosphors for white light emitting diodes.
