Reversibility in the adiabatic temperature-change of Pr0.73Pb0.27MnO3

► The magnetocaloric properties of a manganite Pr0.73Pb0.27MnO3 have been studied. ► The Curie temperature has been found as 234 K. ► We have measured directly the adiabatic temperature change. ► The maximum magnetic entropy-change was determined as 4.7 J kg−1 K−1 in 3 T. ► The maximum adiabatic temperature-change was determined as 2.5 K in 3 T.
