Multiple cation and anion substitutions into the structures of Bi2WO6 and PbBi3WO8Cl

► New La- and U-substituted forms of Bi2WO6 and PbBi3WO8Cl have been prepared. ► Double substitution results in stabilization of yet unobserved tetragonal form of Bi2WO6. ► In these structures, W can be totally substituted by U with symmetry lowering.
