NMR study of metal-hydrogen systems for hydrogen storage
چکیده انگلیسی

In this contribution we report on the results of our recent 1H NMR studies of different metal hydrides of interest for reversible hydrogen storage applications: Ti–V–Cr alloys of various compositions, pure and with Zr7Ni10 or Hf7Ni10 additives, and in additives themselves. The temperature dependences of 1H spin-lattice relaxation have been treated within an exchange model.

Research highlights▶ Proton NMR provides information on hydrogen mobility in metal hydrides. ▶ In Ti-V-Cr the relaxation rates strongly depend on the vanadium fraction. ▶ The activation processes start earlier for the vanadium reach hydrides. ▶ Addition of Zr-Ni or Hf-Ni alloys enhances the hydrogen mobility in Ti-V-Cr.
