												Ni nanoparticles were uniformly precipitated on hBN powder by rotary chemical vapor deposition (RCVD) using nickelocene (NiCp2) as a precursor. The average grain size and the content of Ni increased from 13.9 to 84.5 nm and 0.98 to 3.65 mass%, respectively, with increasing supply rate (Rs) of NiCp2 from 0 to 1.12 × 10−6 kg s−1. The Ni-precipitated hBN powder was consolidated by spark plasma sintering. The density of the hBN body increased with increasing Ni content and sintering temperature. The highest density was 97.3% at 2273 K.
